California Notary Fee Schedule
Rates for common notarial acts
- Fees are charged per notarial act (per signature notarized)
- Travel and convenience fees are separate from notarial fees
- All notarizations require proper identification in accordance with California law
Notarial Fee Pricing
At Wahl Street Mobile Notary, I keep pricing simple, transparent, and fully compliant with California law. Fees for notarial acts are set by the State of California. While travel and convenience fees are based on time, distance, and scheduling.
Notarial Fee Rates
Acknowledgements - $15
An acknowledgment means I am confirming that you signed this document willingly. I am not verifying the contents of the document. Just your identity and that the signature is yours. While preferred, it is not required to be signed in front of the notary public.
Jurats - $15
A jurat means you will take a quick oath (or affirmation) confirming the information in the document is true and will then sign in front of the notary public. I verify your identity and witness the signature.
Oaths/Affirmations - $15
You will take an oath or affirmation where you confirm the information in your document is true where you will verbally say “yes” if you agree.
The difference between the two is that an oath refers to swearing, often on a religious basis. And an affirmation is a non-religious version/secular. They both mean the same thing legally.
Powers of Attorney (Certifying Copies) - $15
I certify a copy of a Power of Attorney document and confirm that the copy is a true, full, and exact reproduction of the original Power of Attorney document.
Voting Materials - $0
I verify your identification and notarize the signature if the document requires it. I do not handle or review the voting materials themselves. Just the notarization.
Veteran's Benefits - $0
I verify your identity and notarize your signature on the veteran’s benefits document(s). I do not review or approving the contents.
Mobile & Convenience Rates
Travel Fees (Mobile Notary Service)
As a mobile notary, I bring convenient, reliable service directly to your location. A travel fee is applied in addition to standard notarial fees to cover time, distance, and scheduling flexibility.
Standard Travel Area
Travel fees for mobile notary services are based on the distance from my primary service area in North Orange County, California. Most mobile notary appointments within a 10-mile radius qualify for the standard travel fee.
For appointments located farther away, travel fees may increase based on distance, estimated travel time, traffic conditions, and appointment timing. Contact Wahl Street Mobile Notary for a travel fee quote and appointment availability.
